Even if you can't see it or tell what it was, you sometimes have a feeling of something broken. It might be something you've lost or something of someone else's. Something precious that you've shattered, and you don't know why.
Yes, this is an angst piece! :'D
This is my original character, tentatively named Anubis. (I'll give him a better name eventually.) He is a Demon of Decay. Everything he touches crumbles, rots into nothingness, and it breaks his little black heart every time. He often ponders the question, "If an Angel can fall, can a Demon ascend?" But he's always doomed for disappointment in the end. You can't tame a tiger not to eat meat, just as you can't teach a demon to deny his nature.
By the way, he's very cute and sweet looking, but if you ever meet him and survive the encounter, try not to fall in love with him. His favorite snack is human flesh--another one of those bad habits he's trying to break and just can't seem to manage. u_u;
The style somehow reminds me of X-1999... that picture is just amazing. The amount of details it has makes its looks really special, and the background behind the picture makes it even more special. You really can feel the emotion when u look at the picture.

great painting, I love the way you did the face. I have to agree with KuroHane, it does remind me of clamp (I haven't read X/1999 so I couldn't say it's like that) Maybe you should add a border.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
